Yunho and Changmin’s fathers express strong disapproval of other members
Many readers and TVXQ/DBSK fans were shocked when members Yunho and Changmin revealed their support for SM Entertainment just an hour ago. But it looks like things aren’t ending there – two other very important men involved with this controversy have decided to express their thoughts.
The fathers of Yunho and Changmin, the two TVXQ members who were not involved with the controversial lawsuit earlier this year, spoke up in support of their sons and SME while condemning other three members and their parents. They claim that the dispute has more to do with the trouble that has arisen from the beauty product business rather than mere contractual matters.
Mr. Chung, the father of Yunho, stated:
The two members who did not involve themselves in this legal dispute are the real victims here. They suffered from financial loss, psychological suffering and most importantly they lost their reputation. Who is to compensate them for their losses? I intend to ask the other three members this: Whatever the reason, why do you intend to cause such great controversy and drive DBSK, an international brand name, into a break-up? Do you care at all about the other two members and their suffering?
The beauty product business wasn’t something that was supervised by SME. On top of that, the beauty product company itself wasn’t very trustworthy. When it was started, I felt that DBSK’s reputation could potentially suffer from involvement with that company and advised my son of the issue. He shared my concerns as well, and that is why he did not involve himself in the business. SME later asked the three members to withdraw from the business but their parents resisted unreasonably. Mr. Shim (Changmin’s father) and I tried to convince them as well but they simply refused to change their minds. I later learned that the three members took up legal actions against SME without consulting me nor Mr. Shim. DBSK is not owned by those three members only. They ignored not only the controversy that would rise but also the rights of other two members.
Mr. Shim, father of Changmin, stated:
Simply put, the other three members took legal actions against SM because of the beauty product business matter and other reasons which involve their financial gains. What they claim as their reasons, reasons such as unfair contract and unclear profit division are merely excuses to hide the true reason behind their actions. After the three members started the beauty product business, one of the parents called me and told me shenanigans like “This business can be worth millions or even billions in the future. When we tell the media that DBSK has started a business, share price of our company will hit the roof – we will tell you in advance so you can profit from the information.”
Three members claim that the contract is unfair and calculations are unclear, but my son and I have read over the contract with SM clearly and agreed to all clauses, from the very first contract through all five revisions that have been made. For every income my son has received I reviewed all of the the numbers. I feel sorry for the three members and their parents as they must know of the truth but they continue to make false claims.”

With the court agreeing on the injunction sent by the 3 members of TVXQ, the trio had the power to look at SM Entertainment's contract for the members. It was shockingly unfair and against public policy. The three members who stood up for themselves (Kim Junsu, Kim Jaejoong, and Park Yoochun) have the court on their side and are now proceeding with their main lawsuit, which is to get the shares and income that they deserve from their activities in the past 6 years.
Below is what the court has presented as the content of the members' contracts. The contract has been modified 5 times since their debut, so this is the overall review.
1. TVXQ has received $0 from their album sales till July 2008, and a very small amount after.
Before the fifth modification that the company made with their contract, it stated that the profit from albums and singles with sales less than 500,000 copies would go 100% to SM Entertainment, which left the members with nothing. There has been no Korean album that have exceeded 500,000 album sales between the time of TVXQ's debut and their 4th album Mirotic, which was the first album in Korea to sell over 500,000 albums for a long time.
On July 1 2008, the company changed the contract so each member would get 1% from album sales that exceeded 200,000 copies. For albums that are below that number, they are paid 0.6% to nothing. Through these terms, TVXQ has not earned a single cent since February 2009.
2. TVXQ has received $0 from sales of concert DVD's and albums with recordings from concerts.
The contract stated that the members are not entitled to get any profit from concert DVD's and "live" albums.
3. TVXQ received $0 from their appearances in TV programs.
In the contract, the members do not have a right to receive the shares made from appearances on television programs if they are featured in only one episode or if their appearance is temporary. SM has kept all the profit from TV shows where TVXQ were guests.
4. For other ways of getting profit, SM subtracts the total amount with all the expenses that the company has paid for them, including clothing, salary of company staff, stage preparation, rent, food expenses, and etc., which only leaves a fraction for the members of TVXQ.
As for all other sources of income, the contract says that the members do not get the full "net income", but only get a percentage of it. The contract states that the "net income" is the profit remaining after deducting their operating costs, which is the money that the company spends on them. The operating costs include expenses that are to be covered by the employer, such as salaries of the staff (manager, clothing coordinators, makeup artists, dance coordinators, back dancers, etc.), performance stages, living expenses which include water and electricity bills, travel expenses which include plane tickets, and meal expenses. The company might add something in addition to deduct more from the net income.
In conclusion, TVXQ actually received anywhere from 1% to 5% from all of their activities, which depending on how you look at it can still add up to 7 figures or more but still many consider this to be unfair.

Choir Performance !!!
DBSK - Don't cry my love
Ok ... i found out the name of the conductor ... His name is spelled as Mr Adyll Hardy . Today performance is quite ok i will say... My last performance for being a choir member for 4 years .... Mdm latifah promised that we do not need to go back for choir if we make it to sec 5 .... As long as we go back for this performance ... So we go back and work well with the conductor .... Now, i slowly like this conductor already .... He said that today practice was consider a good performance as it was the 1st time he conductor the choir ... And it sound not bad in such 'appreciated' audience ... He more patient then mr lee ... He wont get angry easily ................. Today saw the male pianist ... He was a Indonesian ... Had a long name He looked very young lol .... like a secondary school student ... Compared to Josephene, i will prefer her ... Mr Adyll really conductor similar to Mr Lee ... but difference in height . One thing different between them is that i expect more respect then Mr Lee ... Must called him Mr Adyll and not teacher ...

Today was the 2nd time and the 2nd last time i had practice with the new conductor
Today practice is the most me meaningful one in this 4 days of practice ...
Finally had a FULL & COMPLETE practice ....
Practice today is quite fun ...
Start to communicate with the conductor ....
Sad thing was that he managed to identify Atiqah a member he did not see before
But he cant identify me ... i think because i am too short so he think i am a Sec 1 or 2 ... ><
He really conduct similar to mr lee but because mr lee with us for so many months & years ...
Going through SYF together for 2 times ... he sort of understand the choir
As for the new conductor , he not familiar with us and we are not familiar with him ...
So whatever lame thing of any conductor did , the choir used to laugh ..
But this new conductor was not used to it ... so he did felt that it weird ...
He has 5 school choir (4 sec & 1 primary -including Siglap) ...
Cant really remember wad school and he same JC with Mr lee
But he consider the senior lah .... and also in Amadeus Choir for 1&1/2 years
He also have more patient than Mr lee ...
And the pianist is a male one ... Look forward to meet him yah !!!
Just hope that tmr performance will be a good one ....
At least end my 4 year of effort in choir a nice one ... :)

Ok ... Today practice is quite normal compared to the practice on monday ... Also the first practice i had with the new conductor ... dunno how to spell his name... Erm anyway his conducting is similar to Mr.Lee and i think not bad lah .... Although i really hate Mr Lee , But i just used to have him standing infront of the choir , Conducting ... Now with the new conductor , i not used to him and he much taller then Mr Lee ... And somehow i would prefer Mr lee voice and not his ... His was too bass(Dull) compared to mr Lee voice .. maybe i not too used to his ... But i ok .... I just need to just used to it for the last 2 days ... After this i not coming back anymore ... Except camps or other stuffs ... So goodbyes to all my crazy juniors .... Hope that you guys can adpot this new conductor and like him more than Mr.Lee Enjoy yourself for the next few year ... Dont give up yah .... Will come back for if there any other seniors coming back .... Whether i am in Sec 5 OR not ... (hope i will be in sec 5 lol ) Byes :)

DBSK 24 Hour Famine- Love in the Ice
Yesterday went to Bugis to meet to Huiling , Ah yi & Ah ma ... But we reached earlier so we when to the 四马路 to buy all types of 干食。 We bought lots of seaweed ... those seasoned ones . 3pkt only $7 damn cheap ... Outside sell 1pkt $4-5 . And it tasted nice man ... Also buy the cuttlefish in those slices types ... Have not try yet ... Also buy Ice pop 3pkt for $2 ... The mini mart near my house sold 1 pkt $2 lol ... Very cheap right ... So it worth it to go with my mum ... After that meet my cousin and eat Pastamania Ordered my favourite but ending eating the one i dont really like ... NVM lah ... cos ah ma prefer my one so its ok ... Although a bit sad ... After that we went to AMK to meet my uncle and sis ... Then went to check spectacle together with my sisters , cousin and mum. Go buy daily face foam and hair conditioner ... Make our way home to Ah ma house ... Reached home about 11 plus going 12 .. then i bathe Sleep around 2 plus .. And wake up today very earlier ... 10 plus not enough sleep .. Sleeping now ... Goodnite

Today attendance for the bridging programe was very bad ... Only 12 lol (Jia En , Suan jo , Aniq , Rafik ,Zul , Jasmine , Salwa , Brandon , Nelson , Eric , 2 other chinese boy - forgot who liao ) I think that bridging is not a waste of time lol ... Dunno why Jia en and Eric think so lol .... Think that coming here just because of the attendance ... I just think that bridging is equal important to the normal lesson before 'N' level It a preparation for the 5N . We learnt new thing for chem and some worksheet for Maths and Physic ... Mr.Lee and Mr.Soh not in school ... Are you sure that you can do well in sec 5 ??? It not easy lol. Expectations is higher ... more topic to study lol ... Maths no longer so straight forward lol .... See before the Express prelim paper lol ... Not easy ... Now , also start to worried about the 'N' level result ... Hope that i can go sec 5 .
Did not go for the outing thingy ... Cos not feeling well and my mother would prefer me to go for bridging ... So i ask permission from 戴老师. She approved me ... Feel very sorry .... I think because she believed that the rest will go ..... so she did not disapproved me ... But Joanne , jovin , Michelle and Yu jing actually going de lol , but dunno why they suddenly dont want to go ... Jia en mother dont approved her to go ... Overall , we think that we really 令戴老师失望。 So jia en doing a card as a apologize to her . We will write also ...

Ok ... Late update ... Lazy lah 'N' Level finally over ... I think that the worst paper in this whole exams was the D&T Paper ... I dont even noe how to answer some of the question lol ... Really hope that my folio can help me to maintain a B3 ... Then i satisfied already .... As for the rest , some have confident some dont have ... Also hope that plus and minus here there can achieved a B3 for all subjects Accept English ... At least a pass .... Hope this not the subjest that cause me to fail the criteria ... Wish myself all the best .... Ah ... really very scared lol ... I want to go Sec 5 ...
Then now .... Follow by the Bridging programe (16Oct - 30Oct) 2 Weeks To prepare us for the 'O' Level ... Another study mood butshould be more relax then 'N' level preparation ... From here , i think i can experience the Express work ... Whether can i cope or not ... Hope can lah ... dont want to suffer in sec 5 ... Tmr have to go back already ... first day ... But not going to stay in class cos going outing with all the China Students Because of 读书会, no choice ... Very sian lol ... i rather stay in class and have lesson then going out with all those students ... But dont want to disappoint 戴老师. So have to go lol ... Hope that it will be fun ... And i dont think i will be join them for the Dragon Boat Sailing thingy. Having my period ... >.< Hope that we wont missed too much for the bridging ...

Junsu hurt himself! T.T As you should know, DBSK is on their 4th Live Tour 2009 “The Secret Code”. Their concert in Kobe, Japan. Two days before the actual concert, Junsu injured himself in an accident during rehearsals. It was to the point he couldn’t walk. Poor him! When fans heard about the accident, they worried about Junsu and the group. Fans were concerned with the fact that perfect performances mean ALL 5 members from DBSK. A lot of the fans were unhappy that they wouldn’t be able to see Junsu perform. But of course, the fans were given a surprise. The 4 other members rolled Junsu in on a wheelchair, and all 5 of them performed. Junsu sang all the songs with the group. Even though he wasn’t able to dance with the rest of DBSK, it was ok, since his voice made up for it! Junsu really does have one of the most wonderful voices ^^ Take a look at the fancam of Junsu. *sniff sniff* Even though he’s not my fave member, being a DBSK fan, I felt so bad for him!!!!
